This week was an interesting exercise. Medical appointments, my birthday, and moving on in the 2020 NYC Midnight Flash Fiction competition. I scored first in my group! Here is a link to Vintage Lost which scored 15 of 15 points. The judges liked the story very much. I will write the semifinals round this weekend.
My birthday (54) was sweet and quiet. I got to play dungeons and dragons with my friends. My Son and his family brought me a German Chocolate Cake. Which m 5 year old grandson would not eat because “it is not right” to have coconut on cake. LOL He is a character. My granddaughter is 11 and is growing up… a tween for certain, young woman one moment, kiddo the next.
I spent 3 weeks with my parents. My mom and dad are aging in place and my brother, nephew and I put in some sweat equity in ensuring my folks have solid accesses to the house as things change in their abilities. It was a good effort and made things better for them.
